I first went to Joni because I needed help with my self-esteem and my sense of abandonment from my childhood and my lack of self-love and a need for money. I had an initial consultation with Joni which was a delightful conversation at which time I realized that Joni was the perfect RTT therapist for me! At the time I wasn’t able to afford my RTT session but I knew that I desperately needed to do this for myself a few months down the road I bit the bullet and I knew that I was worth it and the money would be well spent on myself I filled out my intake form on Joni‘s website and Joni was able to schedule an appointment for me right away. Little did I know that Joni had moved to Spain! Joni was originally in Brooklyn and I am in on Long Island so I was going to travel and have a one on one session so I was a little bit skeptical about having a Skype therapy session but it ended up being amazing!!! We ended up having a couple of technical issues which we were quickly able to resolve and we had our therapy session through the iPhone on FaceTime. II was able to easily be hypnotized and Joni easily brought me back to three childhood experiences which surprisingly brought me to realize that my issues in my adulthood stem from my need to feel protected. Once our session was over, Joni provided me with a personal recording of our hypnosis session the same day. I listen to my recording every day at least twice. Always on my way to and from work and at night before I go to sleep. I also listen any opportunity that I have. Since our therapy session in September, the following things have happened for me: I’ve lost 60 pounds, I have begun painting again (I am an artist but hadn’t painted in 18 years) I have started my own website, my career which is fairly new is pretty successful, my family relationship with my children is happier as attested to by my kids, and I am much more confident. I look forward to all the other successes that will continue along my life path! I continue to keep in touch with Joni and I look forward to having another RTT session when I can so that I can work on a few other things that I think need some work on in my life as well. First-time Mom to Baby H

"I left the session relaxed and ready for whatever my baby and my body decided, and that night I went into labor."

I had the good fortune of meeting Joni at her own stoop sale, four days past my due date with my first baby. It was the end of August, I was hot, sweaty, and ready to not be pregnant! I was also anxious to be induced by the hospital by week 41 if baby H didn’t come on her own. Serendipitously Joni mentioned her work in induction hypnotherapy and offered to have a session with me the following day - I took the sign from the universe and went for it.

Having never done something like this before - and as the sister of a very pragmatic scientist - I wasn’t sure what to expect. Joni made me comfortable from the moment she came to my house, and made sure I knew what was coming and how we’d be working together. More therapy than hypnotic, Joni honed in immediately on what was blocking me from being ready to welcome my baby. She calmly and supportively helped me talk through it, and allowed me to prepare myself for welcoming a little one. I left the session relaxed and ready for whatever my baby and my body decided, and that night I went into labor.

In addition to the help and support Joni provided me, she armed me with tools and visualizations that I shared with my husband to support throughout the labor. He felt empowered, useful, and apart of the process, and I was grateful to have him working with me.

Since then, Joni has been checking in on us and supporting my transition to new motherhood. It is clear how much she loves supporting women and mothers of all kinds, and I would recommend her support to anyone looking for guidance on this amazing journey.

For the past 47 years I have vacillated between Anxiety and Depression due to a childhood trauma, losing my mom when I was 13. I've spent many years since then in Talk Therapy, on Anti- Anxiety meds, in Biofeedback Therapy and Emotional Freedom Tapping Therapy with a prominent Psychologist in NYC. I have read every self-help book I could find and searched many genres of The Art Of Healing through sound therapy, meditation and yoga. As I write this review, I am holding our beautiful, healthy 3-week old son. A little over ten months ago, he was a dream in our hearts, but seemed a far fetch due to our challenges trying to get pregnant this second time and due to the stress of a recent serious health diagnosis in our family. That is when I decided to give a session with Joni a try. Figured it could not hurt. Little did I know what a life changing experience that one session would be. Came out of that 3 hours feeling cleansed, lighter, and ready to take on the world and enjoy all of the abundance that the universe had to offer. A few days after the session, we had an IUI for another try to get pregnant. The feeling going into that try was completely different than prior attempts. In fact, it did not feel like an attempt at all. Our hearts and minds were effortlessly focused on a positive outcome. We created a relaxing and fun day around the IUI to help welcome our little one into being. The wait to take our pregnancy test was hopeful and relaxed. I will never forget my wife reading me the results when we finally took the test. :) Especially during the first trimester of my pregnancy, I continued to listen to the recording Joni made for me during our session. It brought an incredible calm and feeling of confidence in our little one growing perfectly and getting ready to join our family. Skipping ahead in the story, we could not have had a better pregnancy and birthing experience. My wife and I will forever be grateful for all Joni did for our family. Highly recommend trying the hypnotherapy. There is nothing you can lose (except stress and beliefs about yourself that do not serve you) and so much you can gain.

Having already been to a hypnotherapist and not seeing any improvement, I was somewhat skeptical and didn't know how effective hypnotherapy would be...

To my surprise, I have seen so much improvement. After doing just one session with Joni, I have noticed that my "normal" negative thoughts and struggles with feeling depressed have subsided. My mind is so much clearer and the vision of my dreams and goals are not hindered by my past anymore. This is the most free I've ever felt to be myself.

What was most surprising to me is how my sleep patterns have improved (for that was not our focus while doing the session). Prior to the session I would sleep okay but would still be restless at times and woke up quite frequently in the middle of the night. But now, I find that my deep sleep is a lot longer and I feel much more rested in the mornings. As a result, my energy levels has gone up, and I've been able to make strides towards living my best life.

One of the things I like most about working with Joni is I can really feel the passion that she has to want to help people and change lives. The empathy that she shows, I believe, plays a big part in her work.

I am not someone with a history of therapy, but recently saw a therapist (Joni T.) for some ongoing anxiety that has been paralyzing me, and also creating some physical problems for me too...

She is lovely person in general, and a hypnotherapist that specializes in hypnotherapy. I had to read a little bit more about it, since it came as a recommendation from a friend who's had great experiences with it, but it was still quite a departure from my beliefs on what a more "traditional" type of therapy path entailed.

Anyway, I liked that fact that it was local to me (she works out of her home in bed stuy), and a pretty concentrated one-time thing - in other words, pretty low commitment time-wise and financially, which is perfect for someone like me. But the real kicker is... I actually cannot believe how much better I've felt in the past weeks. Maybe it was because I was not entirely sold on hypnotherapy before, but I must say that issues that I've been agonizing over for a couple years now have nearly entirely dissipated for the moment and it feels really freeing.

I have known Joni for 6 or so years primarily as an education colleague. It was awesome to get to experience her in the role of hypnotherapist. Joni has a calm, peaceful presence and voice, and is both insightful and passionate about the work. The hypnotherapy experience is one of very deep level hypnosis, where you receive the opportunity to have someone facilitate your working on your core challenges/fears. I just successfully quit smoking through a single session this past summer... I left the session feeling refreshed and confident that I would finally be able to quit. If you are willing to do the follow up self work during the month after this is an experience can work miracles.

I went to Joni to try and work through some personal issues. I would describe the session as a relaxed calm cleansing meditation verbally guided by Joni. This meditation was tailored to my particular issues. She's the kind of person that you feel like you can share anything with instantly, she has a very calming soothing voice and a warm presence. She provides a recording of the session for you to listen to which is a part of the hypnosis (listen to regularly) It's like having your own personalized meditation. I have anxiety and I listen to her recording while commuting and right before bed. I can say that this has actually helped me a lot - is my go to meditation when I need to center myself. I highly recommend Joni if you are serious about wanting to make changes in your life.
